From Staff Reports   The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:   The following is a list of names entered into the booking computer at Hart County Jail for Dec. 17-20, 2024. Names, ages and towns are listed as they appear in the computer.

Hart County Botanical Garden installs concrete path

The Hart County Botanical Garden recently completed a concrete path that will allow wheelchair, walker and stroller access to the entire garden. Previously, half the path encircling the garden was gravel.

Georgia Power hiking rates next month

ATLANTA - Georgia energy regulators have signed off on a 3.5 percent rate increase for customers of Georgia Power. Members of the state Public Service Commission (PSC) unanimously approved the increase Tuesday, which will raise average residential customer bills by $5.48 per month.

For the fall 2024 semester, the University of North Georgia (UNG) awarded more than 900 degrees and certificates to graduates. More than 650 of the graduates participated in the fall 2024 commencement ceremonies held Dec. 7 at the Convocation Center at UNG’s Dahlonega Campus.
