The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests:   Nov. 7 •Savannah Williams, 35, of Hartwell, was arrested and charged with criminal attempt to commit a misdemeanor (marijuana) and possession of methamphetamine.

Pair indicted on meth distribution charges

A pair of women charged in August with felonies related to methamphetamine distribution were indicted on seven charges apiece by a Hart County grand jury Monday. Christy Henson, 41, and Samantha Jo Woods, 30, were arrested Aug.

Annual tree lighting set for Monday

An Anderson man who allegedly led Georgia State Patrol and Hart County Sheriff’s deputies on a high speed chase near Lavonia was indicted by a Hart County grand jury Monday on 19 charges.

Board of Education approves new classroom cameras

On Monday, Nov. 14, the Hart County Board of Education approved the replacement of 112 older cameras throughout the Hart County School System in favor of newer ones that will enhance teacher and student instruction and security.

Four-star receiver announces top 3 college programs

Hart County Football wide receiver Paul Davis has announced his top three schools but the door is still open. Jackson State University, Duke University, and Mississippi State University have all cracked Davis’ top three in his recruitment.
