Unveiling local history

By Adriana Cascio Leading News Reporter   A statue honoring Nancy Hart was unveiled during a special ceremony with over 50 individuals present on the Nancy Hart Garden Club corner of the Hart County June 18.

100 days of activities, raising awareness for Hart County Animal Rescue

By Adriana Cascio Leading News Reporter   A group of five rescue employees and volunteers began 100 days of walking, running and cycling to raise awareness for Hart County Animal Rescue (HCAR) and the homeless dogs of Hart County June 1.

Making a splash on Lake Hartwell

Photos by Cascio  Over 50 Portuguese Water Dogs (PWD) made their debut at Lake Hartwell on Sunday during the United Sunshine States Portuguese Water Dog Club sanctioned water trials. The dogs pulled nets, retrieved buoys and dove into the water with their trainers.
