Little Shop of Horrors opens HCCT’s 44th Season

The Hart County Community Theatre (HCCT) kicks off its new season Sept. 21 with the debut of the musical Little Shop of Horrors. Dubbed the “Season of Laughter,” the HCCT’s 44th season brings four shows designed to make people laugh following its “Season of Redemption” the previous year.

North Hart Elementary School Recognized as Literacy Leader

State School Superintendent Richard Woods made his way to Hart County  Sept. 19 to award North Hart Elementary School as a “Literacy Leader.” Superintendent Woods presented the school with a banner in recognition of the school’s accomplishments on last year’s statewide standardized tests.
Youth and adults from 37 counties participated in Mission Make-It this year. Hart County Middle School students tackle STEM projects with ‘Mission Make-It’

Ten middle school students from Hart County joined nearly three hundred students from 37 counties across Georgia at the Rock Eagle 4-H Center for “Mission Make-It,” September 9 as a part of the Georgia 4-H Engineering Challenge.

HCHS Students Receive Academic Honors

On September 15, eight current Hart County High School students and four Class of 2023 graduates were recognized as AP Scholars by the Hart County Charter School System. In additional to these eight students, seven students were recognized as College Board National Recognition Program.

Statesboro squad saves Hart County’s homecoming game

Hart County Charter System (HCCS) announced the cancellation of Hart County’s homecoming football game versus Cross Creek scheduled for Sept. 22 at Herndon Stadium. Then an hour later announced a new opponent in Bulloch Academy to fill the void.
