The Hart County Chamber of Commerce held a candidate forum Oct. 26 for city council candidates at the Hart County Library’s Adult Learning Center. The forum gave candidates a platform to express their views on the issues important to Hartwell voters and was moderated by chamber member Jerry McHan.

Dogs offensive woes carry over into Hebron Christian loss

Hart County’s offense was held scoreless for the second week in a row, as Hebron Christian defeated the Dogs at home, 27-0. The Dogs hosted the Lions for the first time ever in Herndon Stadium. Hart won the toss and deferred to the second half.

Hart County’s back-to-back girls state champion in pole vault Amelia Johnson announces her commitment to continue her academic and athletic career at the University of Alabama. Johnson was midway through her junior season when the Crimson Tide first began to show interest.
