Early voting for the runoff for the remaining undecided seat to replace Dan Leard on the Hartwell City Council is set to be held Monday, Nov. 24 through Wednesday, Nov. 26.  Randy Clark and Stephen "Doc" Ayers will continue to vie for the seat after receiving 347 votes (46.

Christmas tree lighting Monday

The Hart County Chamber of Commerce's annual Christmas tree lighting will be held Monday, Nov. 24 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on the courthouse square.  The event will feature photos with Santa, vendors with children's activities and Christmas goodies and more.

Voting opportunities remain open

With just a little over one week of early voting underway, 337 total voters had cast ballots in the two upcoming elections as of 5 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Hart County Board of Elections and Registration.

Charges dropped against airport chair
