Lady Dogs fall in the McDonald’s Shootout Championship

After winning the first two games, the Lady Dogs fell to Wade Hampton in the 2023 McDonald’s Shootout to finish as the runner ups. Hart took on the Lady Dogs of Pendleton out of South Carolina for a battle of the Dogs in the first round of the McDonald’s Shootout.

Hartwell man arrested after crashing stolen car into local law firm

On the evening of Dec. 30, Hart County Sheriff’s Office deputies were notified of a stolen dark-colored 2016 Ford Mustang on Bowman Hwy (Hwy 172) heading towards Hartwell. The vehicle had been reported stolen by the Amarillo Police Department in Amarillo, Texas.

Former Hart County and current UNC defensive lineman Kaimon Rucker announces his plans for 2024. Rucker, who is in his senior year at the University of North Carolina, took his announcement to his social media with a video and a caption that states: “onto the next chapter… keep choppin’.

Freshman guard Kurston Curry’s 35 points helped the Dogs end their three-game skid with a win over Athens Christian, and gave them momentum heading into the McDonald’s Shootout. Hart canceled their game in the Dorman Invitational up in South Carolina on the weekend of Dec. 2.

Georgians Stand to Lose Freedom to Boat on Georgia’s Streams

A recent study conducted by a Georgia House of Representatives committee has raised concerns among the state’s river enthusiasts. The House Study Committee on Fishing Access to Freshwater Resources was tasked with clarifying where Georgians can legally fish on the state’s many freshwater streams.
