Greg Hearn is a father, husband, and grandfather. He is a CPA, CEO, firefighter, and EMT. In May 2023, Greg Hearn was named the 10th President of Emmanuel University, but his journey at Emmanuel began long before that.

Hart Partners receives grant from Hart EMC

Hart Partners, a local nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that conducts programs to assist families and children in the county (including the Summer Bookmobile, Academic Mentoring Program, and Dolly Parton Imagination Library), has received a grant from Hart EMC’s Operation Round Up Grant program.

Hart County High School (HCHS) senior Isabella Chitwood was recently named the 2023-2024 Student Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) student by the Professional Association of Georgia Educators (PAGE).

Attendance turnout was high as the Hart County Property Owners Association (HCPOA) hosted the Lake Hartwell Association (LHA) on the evening of Jan. 15.

The Lady Dogs started the new year and ended their non-region play with a big win over Clarke Central, 63-27. Hart hosted the Lady Gladiators of Clarke Central for their first game of the new year.

By defeating Oconee County and Monroe Area in the Area Duals, the Mat Dogs placed in the Top Two and will compete at state as a team on Jan. 20. Hart traveled to Oconee County High School to compete in the 2024 Area Duals for Region 8-AAA.
