Investigators seek answers in fire

Officials are seeking information about a fire that destroyed The Lake House Tavern on Aug. 31 in Lavonia. The 14-year-old, 2,000-square foot building  burned down around 10 a.m. on Aug. 31. — and officials are still looking for answers as to what caused the blaze.

Dog park named for late commissioner

The dog park at the Hart County Sports and Recreation Complex was dedicated to a former Hart County commissioner who had a soft spot for dogs and worked to bring the park to fruition. The Dan W. Reyen Memorial Dog Park was unveiled on Sept.

'The Miracle Worker' set for the HCCT stage

The story of Helen Keller is coming to Hart County Community Theatre this weekend and through September. The theater is staging “The Miracle Worker” starting at 7:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, at 83 Depot St., in downtown Hartwell.

Fishing University TV show to come to Hartwell
