City to sell golf course to Cateechee

The City of Hartwell is selling the golf course at Cateechee to the conference center and golf club’s current owners, a move that will allow private development on the property.
The city’s recreation authority voted 4-1 at a meeting Thursday to enter into a purchase agreement that will sell the 356.
