St. Andrew’s distributing grants to combat poverty

Submitted by Rhea Dignam St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church   St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church  will be distributing a total of $7,000 in grants of varying amounts to eight 501c3 charitable organizations that help break the cycle of poverty in Hart County. In addition, St.

A beautiful day for a Dam Dog Walk   Hart County Humane Society hosted its 18th annual Dam Dog Walk April 5 at the Big Oak Recreation Area. This year’s event was sponsored by Purina and Lake Hartwell Veterinary Clinic.

Annual Spelling Bee to be held April 17

The Hart County 23rd Annual Spelling Bee, sponsored by the Nancy Hart Literacy Council, will be held April 17 at 5 p.m. in the lower level of the Adult Learning Center at 110 Benson St. The event also includes a silent auction and hot dog dinner.
The Hart County Board of Commissioners approved a Level III subdivision set for the intersection of Clay Brown and Friendship roads during Tuesday night's meeting. The development is set to include five tracts on 29.103 total acres. It is classified as a Level III subdivision as all tracts are greater than five acres but less than 9.99 acres. Commissioners give final approval to land development amendments
