Hart participates in statewide Bible reading

Around 17 people gathered outsde the Hart County Courthouse at 7:14 a.m. July 14 to participate in a statewide reading of the Bible.  Through dividing scripture, participants in all 159 counties were able to read through the entire Bible.

Comprehensive plan meeting puts planning in public’s hands

Hartwell residents offered crucial input on the City of Hartwell’s 2025 comprehensive plan draft during Monday’s local planning open house, utilizing a format that allowed them to visualize and shape future land use.
An additional 20,000 feet of new sidewalks that will connect Hart County schools to residential neighborhoods and the downtown area are set to be placed in the City of Hartwell after the city council approved a $1 million Appalachian Regional Commission Sidewalk Grant Project during Monday night’s meeting. City approves multi-million infrastructure projects

The Hartwell City Council approved three significant projects during Monday’s regular meeting, including a 20,000 feet sidewalk expansion, a $1.5 million purchase of property for a new gas department facility and road-widening for College Avenue.
