The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests: April 21 • Candace Sue Hambrick, 44, 680 Risner Road, was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault. April 22 • Perry Deiontrey Rucker, 34, 890 Melony Lane, was arrested and charged with probation violation.

Annexation of Hartwell Lakeside hits snag

Hartwell Lakeside is open and the campground is nearly full at what was Hart State Park, but some area residents are concerned the next step of annexation will lead to nearby properties being forced to do the same.

Cops: Patrol post raid leaves heister hungry

An Anderson man who allegedly burglarized the local state patrol post early last Thursday rummaged through a refrigerator before deputies pulled him out of the same window he threw a rock at to gain entry to the building, authorities say. David Michael Booker, 33, of Anderson, S.C.
