March 11, 1927 ­­— There was enough cream shipped from Hartwell the previous Friday to produce 989 pounds of creamery butter. The receipts “surpassed any record since the cream depot was opened” and $410.56 cash was paid out for the cream.

Teacher vaccinations begin at Hart Co. schools

Teachers and other school employees are starting to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. The Hart County Charter System is working with the Hart County Health Department to vaccinate its employees and began administering vaccines to employees this week.

Pair of crashes claim two lives in same day

By Grayson Williams Staff writer A pair of crashes on the same day last week claimed two lives in Hart County. In the first, a log truck’s load apparently shifted in a curve on Royston Highway early last Thursday morning, causing a crash that involved a fatality, the Hart County Sheriff said.

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests: Feb. 23 • Jason Allen Sanders, 43, 45 McCurley Road, was arrested and charged with felony terroristic threats and acts, battery, willful obstruction of law enforcement and parole violation. Feb.
