Hartwell residents, and those with property near Lake Hartwell, may have noticed recent low water levels. The Lake Hartwell Association (LHA) explains the cause of this phenomenon and how individuals may adapt before levels return to normal.

Five Dogs represent Hart County in FCA All-Star Game

Five Hart County Bulldogs and one coach were selected and competed and coached in the 2023 Athens area FCA All-Star game on Saturday, Dec. 16 at Clarke Central High School.
Junior guard Andrew Maxwell had a season high 11 points against the Blue Devils in the 65-61 loss to Elbert County on Dec. 15.

The Dogs are looking for answers after dropping the past three games at Elbert County, at Oglethorpe, and at home against Jefferson. The Dogs made the 18-mile trip to the Inferno on Dec. 15 to take on rival Elbert County.

Each semester a select number of students at Emmanuel College are awarded academic recognition for their successful study by their inclusion on the President’s List or Dean’s List. To be named to the President’s List a student must earn a quality point average of 4.
