Lady Dogs advance to Sectionals

Despite falling to their rivals Elbert County and Franklin County in the regular season finale, the Lady Dogs will advance to Sectionals beginning on April 10.

Racket Dogs split against rival in final region match

The Hart County High School boys and girls tennis teams split against Franklin County to set them up for the Region Tournament at Oconee County High School on April 9 and 10. The Racket Dogs traveled to Carnesville to take on the Lions of Franklin County.

Dogs pick up pair of wins over Patriots

After not playing a full game since March 19, the Dogs picked up back-to-back road wins to prepare for a gauntlet of an ending to the regular season.
Senior pitcher Ethan Martin came in relief and pitched a gem for the Diamond Dogs, but fell 8-7 in extra innings in game one of the double header on March 29. Martin’s final statline from the bump was five innings pitched, four hits, one earned run, and five strikeouts.

After losing six straight games, the Diamond Dogs responded with a series win over Stephens County while also edging past Eastside on the road.

Hart County Botanical Garden to host spring plant sale

The Hart County Botanical Garden will host its annual Spring Plant Sale. The sale stands as not only a major fundraiser for the garden but is also much anticipated by both master and novice gardeners.     Located at the garden, 1277 Elberton Hwy, Hartwell, this year’s members only pre-sale is Fri.
