Ninth District Opportunity awarded federal funds

Polar Bear Plunge returns for the 28th consecutive year

The annual polar plunge and winter festival will be held Saturday, March 2 from 11:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the Gum Branch Mega Ramp just outside of town.

Hartwell man arrested after family violence incident

On Monday, Jan. 29, 26-year-old William Lamont Scruggs of Hartwell was arrested and charged with terroristic threats and acts, criminal damage to property, and obstruction.
At approximately 10:03 a.m., Hart County Sheriff’s Office responded to a family violence incident.
