AgGeorgia Farm Credit to pay $7.8 million to membership

AgGeorgia Farm Credit is disbursing $7,828,920 to current and former borrowers of the cooperative. Members who held loans with AgGeorgia in 2016 will receive a portion of this payout, with checks expected to be mailed the first week of July.

DUI suspect charged with homicide

The allegedly-impaired driver from the River Point Community Church van crash has been charged with vehicular homicide and released on bail.
Barry Thomas Clark, 64, of Hartwell was first arrested on June 29, the day of the crash at Highway 365 and Demorest-Mt. Airy Highway.
