Diamond Dogs continue to struggle after 0-4 start

The Diamond Dogs continue to struggle, dropping both games to Elbert at home Feb. 15 and on the road at McIntosh on Tuesday. Hart hosted the Blue Devils of Elbert County for the first home game of the season at Saye Field.

Dogs earn the three seed after comeback win over Hebron

The Hart County boys basketball team lost to Stephens County Feb. 15, but was able to overcome Hebron on Friday, earning the Dogs the No. 3 seed in the state tournament. The Dogs took on Stephens County to determine who would advance to the region championship.

The Region 8-AAA runner ups season ends after loss to Dawson

The Hart County Lady Dogs beat Oconee, but lost to Hebron in the region championship. They were the No. 2 seed out of Region 8-AAA but Dawson County upset Hart at home to end their season. Hart opened up the region tournament by taking on Oconee County on the Warriors home floor.

Diamond Dogs start the 2023 season 0-2

The Hart County Diamond Dogs had a rough start to the season by dropping both games on the road to Elbert County Feb. 8 and then to Tallulah Falls on Tuesday. The Elbert County game was originally scheduled for Feb.

Tennis kicks off the season at Clarke Central

The Hart County Racket Dogs opened their season on the road in Athens, taking on Clarke Central Feb. 9.

Smith leads Lady Dogs on Senior Night win

The Hart County Lady Dogs end the regular season with a home win over their rival, Franklin County, 73-40. The Lady Dogs started the night by honoring the lone senior guard, Valasha Carter, as she potentially played her final game on the hardwood at Hart County High School.

Soccer Dogs sweep Towns out of town

Young talent gave both teams the edge, as the soccer Dogs swept Towns County on Tuesday’s home wins. The Lady Dogs started the night off, battling Towns for the first 23 minutes of play.

Webb honored as freshman of the month

GREENVILLE, S.C. - Tavarus Webb of Emmanuel has been selected as the Freshman of the Month for Conference Carolinas men’s basketball for January of 2023. The 6-foot-4 freshman guard from Hartwell, Georgia, Webb averaged 15 points, seven rebounds, four assists, 2.0 steals and 1.

The Hart County boys basketball team secured the No. 2 seed in the region tournament with a home win over Franklin County on Senior Night.
