Lady Dogs knocked out of playoff after first round loss

After losing in heartbreaking fashion in game one, Stephens County run-rules Hart County in game two to eliminate the Lady Dogs from the state playoffs.
On Oct. 16, Hart traveled to Toccoa to take on the Lady Indians of Stephens County in the first round of the state playoffs.

Big playoff implications for both Hart County and Stephens County are on the line when the two teams battle it out in Toccoa on Friday.

Dogs soar past Eagles in first region win

The Bulldogs picked up their first region win in full team effort, 40-10 win over the Eagles of East Jackson.
After a bye week, on Oct. 18, Hart traveled to Commerce to take on the Eagles of East Jackson. The Dogs won the toss and differed to the second half.

Atlanta lands Super Bowl LXII in 2028

ATLANTA - Super Bowl LXII will be held in Atlanta in February 2028, the National Football League announced Tuesday.
The game will take place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, which also hosted the Super Bowl in 2019.

Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate between Georgia and Georgia Tech will take place in Mercedes-Benz Stadium in 2025.
In a letter to Georgia Tech fans from athletic director J Batt, he announced that Georgia Tech’s annual game in Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be against the Georgia Bulldogs in 2025.

The Hart County High School boys cross country took home third place while the girls took home seventh at the 5th Annual Kent Kramer Classic.
On Oct. 10, the boys and girls cross country teams traveled to Athens to compete in the 5th Annual Kent Kramer Classic at Athens Christian School.

HCHS basketball teams to host Tip Off Club Golf Tournament

The Hart County High School boys and girls basketball teams will host a Tip Off Club Golf Tournament on Oct. 26 at the Hartwell Golf Club to help raise money for the teams, while honoring late coaches Rodney “Hot Rod” Ashworth and Lauren Wilson.
The golf tournament will begin at 11:30 a.m.

Hart County students to host 7th Annual FCA Fields of Faith Event

Students from Lake Hartwell FCA will join thousands of other youth on athletic fields across the nation on Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2024, to share their Christian faith with fellow students during the annual national Fellowship of Christian Athletes Fields of Faith event.
