Lady Dogs set eyes on No. 2 seed

With wins over rivals Franklin and Stephens, the Lady Dogs are just one game away from claiming the No. 2 seed for the region tournament. On Jan. 31, Hart returned home after a five game road stretch to host the Lady Lions of Franklin County with the No. 2 seed on the line.
The new multipurpose athletic facility at Veterans Stadium (above) features a coaches office that faces the track/field, storage/equipment room for the track and middle school football team, a fully functioning concession stand, a hydration station and two locker rooms with bathrooms, a hydration station, lockers and benches in each room. Both locker rooms can hold up to 160 athletes.

Multipurpose building work completed

The Hart County School System’s new multipurpose athletic facility at Veterans Stadium is ready for use, Assistant Superintendent Brooks Mewborn announced Jan. 30.

Lady Dogs to fight for the No. 2 seed

The Lady Dogs’ defense continued to shine in the win against Prince Avenue before Hebron Christian dominated Hart. On Jan. 24, Hart traveled to Bogart to take on the Lady Wolverines of Prince Avenue Christian to begin the second half of region play.

Lady Dogs now 1-2 in region play after back-to-back losses

After falling to Hebron Christian, the Lady Dogs began the five game road trip with a loss to Franklin County to start region play 1-2. On Jan. 8, Hart hosted the nationally No. 4 ranked Lady Lions of Hebron Christian.

Mat Dogs fail to make State Duals

The Mat Dogs failed to reach the State Duals after placing fourth in the Area Duals. On Jan. 8, Hart traveled to Commerce to compete in the Area Duals at East Jackson High School, after it was originally scheduled to be on Jan. 11 but was moved up due to weather.

Second half woes cause Dogs to stumble into a two game skid

After having the lead entering the second half against Hebron and Franklin, both teams rallied back to send the Dogs on a two-game losing streak. On Jan. 8, Hart hosted the Lions of Hebron Christian, as the Dogs were without their starting junior forward Ramarcus Simpson due to injury.
