Dogs look to defend region title

We must become greater, I must become less. That will be the motto for the Dogs as they look to defend their region title in the 2024-2025 campaign. Last season was simply like a roller coaster for the Dogs. It was full of highs and lows.

Lady Dogs will have a new look this season

After graduating five seniors a year ago, the Lady Dogs will rely on its current senior class to lead the way. The Lady Dogs are coming off of a 22-9 season that was led by arguably their most experienced, veteran core in Mike Edwards tenure as head coach of the Lady Dogs.

Dogs comeback versus Indians falls short

The Bulldogs late rally efforts fell short, as they fell to Stephens County on the road, 37-34. On Oct. 25, Hart County traveled to Toccoa to take on the Indians of Stephens County in a Region 8-AA rivalry matchup. The Indians won the toss and differed to the second half.

Rucker earns multiple honors after stellar performance at UVA

After spending most of the season out with a knee injury, a fully healthy Kaimon Rucker had his career best performance to earn him national honors. Former Hart County and current UNC defensive end Kaimon Rucker and the Tar Heels traveled to Charlottesville, Va.

Kiwanis hosts annual golf tournament

All eyes were on Cateechee Golf Club in Hartwell last Thursday as the Kiwanis Club hosted its third annual golf tournament Oct. 24. The tournament is one of the club’s three main fundraisers throughout the year benefiting local charitable organizations.

Volley Dogs exit playoffs after loss to East Jackson

After sweeping Pierce County on their home court, the Volley Dogs fall in the Sweet Sixteen to East Jackson to end their season. On Oct. 16, Hart traveled down to Blackshear to take on the Lady Bears of Pierce County in the first round of the state playoffs.
