Lady Dogs start season 0-2

The Lady Dogs start the season 0-2 with back-to-back losses to Franklin County on the road. On Feb. 18, Hart traveled to Carnesville to take on the Lady Lions of Franklin County in the slow-pitch season opener.

Diamond Dogs struggle at the plate in back-to-back losses

The Diamond Dogs picked up their first win of the season against Jefferson before dropping back-to-back games to Morgan and Clarke Central. On Feb. 14, Hart hosted the Dragons of Jefferson at Saye Field for the home opener.

Two Mat Dogs finish careers as state placers

Two Mat Dogs advance to day two of the state meet and ended the season as state placers. On Feb. 13, Hart traveled to Macon to compete in the State Traditional meet at the Macon Coliseum. All 10 Mat Dogs competed on Feb. 13 with a chance to move onto day two to compete for a placement.

SWEET SIXTEEN BOUND

After finishing as the region runner-ups, the Lady Dogs knocked KIPP Atlanta out of the playoffs to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. On Feb.

Three Dogs tabbed for All-Region honors

One Dog wins Region Player of the Year, one makes the All-Region team and one earns an honorable mention. On Feb. 11, coaches from around Region 8-AA met to decide the Region Player of the Year, and the All-Region team.

Sectionals bound

Hart County sends one Lady Mat Dog and all 12 Mat Dogs to Sectionals after competing well at Area Traditionals. On Jan. 31, the Lady Mat Dogs traveled to Stephens County to compete in Girls Area Traditionals.

Dogs pick up key region rival wins

The Dogs now control their own destiny with back-to-back wins over rivals Franklin and Stephens. On Jan. 31, Hart returned home after being on the road the past five games to take on the Lions of Franklin County.
