Cross Country to run at home Thursday

The Hart County Cross-Country teams travelled to Cartersville on Friday, Sept. 24 to compete in the Wingfoot XC Classic 2021. Both teams competed in the varsity classification. The Boys team finished 10th out of 27 teams with 314 total points.

Hart hosts pickleball tournament

The Lake Hartwell Pickleball Club hosted its first annual Lake Hartwell Fall Fling pickleball tournament on Sept. 24 and 25. The folowing Lake Hartwell Pickleball Club members medaled at the tournament. The players’ skill level and age bracket are listed.

Bulldogs to start region play in Carnesville

Hart County Football will play its first region game this Friday night in Carnesville against Franklin County High School. The Franklin County Lions are currently 3-1 on the season. The Lions won their first two games at home against Lumpkin County and East Hall, 20-6 and 38-21.

Softball keeps playoff hopes alive

The Hart County softball team’s post-season fate is still undecided as they play for a spot this week. The Lady Diamond Dogs  lost to Franklin County at home on Thursday, Sept. 23 with a score of 16-3.

Volleydogs down Warriors: Hart first in region after beating Oconee

Hart County Volleyball has now beaten every team they have played after avenging an early season loss against Oconee County. The Volleydogs are currently in first in the region with Oconee still having games to play after winning four more matches this past week.

Volleyball gets wins on the road

The Hart County Volleyball teams seems unstoppable as they get four wins on the road this past week. On Thursday, Sept. 16 the Volleydogs travelled to Athens to face Athens Christian and Lakeview Academy out of Gainesville.

Pickleball tourney this weekend

The Lake Hartwell Pickleball Club welcomed a professional pickleball player this week ahead of their first fall tournament. Pro Mark Price came to Hartwell to teach a two-day  pickleball clinic at the Bell Family YMCA.

Bulldogs run over rams

The Hart County Bulldogs pulled away in the fourth quarter to beat the Westside High School Rams 63-28. The Hart County offense continued to dominate with  total 555 yards, 413 of those on the ground, in their win over Westside on Sept. 17 in Anderson, S.

XC teams finish both fifth at meet

The Hart County cross country teams ran in the Franklin County Pridelands Invitational 2021 on Saturday, Sept. 11. The boys team finished fifth overall with 106 points. The top finisher for the boys was senior Zachary Benner who finished third overall with a time of 17:33.82.
