The Bulldogs will be battle against the North Hall Trojans this Friday night, Sept. 3 at Herndon Stadium. AAA Region 7 team North Hall currently has a 1-1 record. In the first week they travelled to Dallas and beat AAAAAA school Paulding County 23-14.

Cross Country teams start season strong

After having their home meet postponed until Sept. 30 due to bad weather, the Hart County High School Cross Country teams competed in two meets. The teams first travelled to Athens to run in the NEGA Championships 2021 on Aug. 21.

Football coach battling COVID

Hart County High School football coach Don McCord is in the ICU battling COVID-19 and the school is having a “Coach McCord Day’ to show support. As of Tuesday, Aug. 31, McCord, 31, was still intubated in the hospital, according to Hart County High School principal Kevin Gaines.

Softball drops region game at home

The Hart County Lady Diamond Dogs lost a heart-breaker at home on Thursday night. The Dogs lost 6-5 to region opponent East Jackson in an extra inning on Aug. 26. Hart was leading 5-2 at the end of the sixth inning. However, East Jackson rallied in the seventh inning to tie the game 5-5.

Hart defeats White to remain undefeated

The Hart County Bulldogs dominated the White County Warriors in Cleveland on Friday, Aug. 27. The Bulldogs ran the all over the Warriors for a total of 335 yards in their 49-13 win.

Lady Diamond Dogs turning season around

The Hart County Lady Diamond Dogs snap their five-game losing streak in time for region play. After an under-performing  0-5 start to the season, the Dogs travelled to Gainesville Wed. and walloped the Red Elephants 21-0.

Bulldogs to travel to Cleveland

The Hart County football team will be travelling to Cleveland this Friday, Aug.  27, to face the White County  Warriors. White County is 0-1 on the season after losing to Stephens County 34-20 in Toccoa last Friday night. The Warriors were 8-3 last season and finished fourth in AAA Region 7.

Volleydogs’ winning streak continues

The Hart County Volleydogs continue to dominate their competition as they move their record to 8-1. The Dogs first travelled to Habersham Central where they battled in a best of five match on Thursday, Aug. 19. Hart upset the home team, winning 3-1. On Tuesday, Aug.

Dogs crush Elbert, 54-21 in opener

The Bulldogs debuted a new Friday-night tradition as they trounced their oldest rival. The Hart County football team put up 682 yards of offense in their 54-21 victory over Elbert County on Friday, Aug. 20 at Herndon Stadium.

Bulldogs look for stability after unpredictable 2020
