Editorial: Prepare for the worst weather

Hart County was on the receiving end of some nasty weather on Jan. 11. A band of storms moved through the area that Saturday evening that brought high winds, heavy rain and caused some damage. Luckily, no tornado, serious damage or injuries were reported.

Reunion will show changes of 20 years

I ’m not old. In March I will be 38, which is getting dangerously close to 40, but I can still say I am in my 30s.  An event this year, though, is definitely sinking in to my brain and giving me the impression that I am indeed aging.

What a year 2019 has been.  Even though it is as sure to happen as death and taxes, the holiday season always seems to creep up and surprise us.  It’s as if New Year’s Day shifts right into Christmas and everything in between happened in an instant.

Ballet made great Christmas memory

  I had two new experiences this past Saturday in Atlanta.  One — I actually attended a live ballet, something I have had very little interest in my entire life.  Two — I went to The Fabulous Fox Theater, something I certainly never tried to avoid, but just had never done.
