Mary Brown, 87, of Hartwell, died Jan. 29, 2020. A funeral service was held Jan. 31, in the Chapel of the Strickland Funeral Home of Hartwell.

John Edward Rice, 55, of Elberton, died Jan. 28, 2020. A memorial service was held Feb. 1. Berry Funeral Home & Crematory of Elberton was in charge of arrangements.

Earnest Lougene Fortson, 65, of Hartwell, died Jan. 27, 2020. A funeral service was held Jan.  31. Mack’s Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Hartwell Chapel was in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth "Liggy" Powell Bryant Hart, 89, of Royston, Ga., passed away on Monday, January 27, 2020, at the Hartwell Health and Rehab.

Mrs. Betty Ayers Seymour, 88, of Golfview Drive, Hartwell, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Hill Haven Nursing Home, Commerce, Ga.

Carol Ivan Carpenter Milner of Smith Street, Hartwell died Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at Hartwell Health and Rehabilitation Center. 

Randall Leon Gunter, 57, of Athens, died Jan.  27, 2020. The family will hold a memorial service at a later date. Coile and Hall Funeral Directors, 333 E. Johnson St., Hartwell is in charge.

Willie Davis, 68, of Elberton, died Jan. 25, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan.

Jermaine Steven Fortson, 38, of Elberton, died Jan. 22, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb.

James Stroud, 60, of Lavonia, died Jan. 26, 2020. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the Chapel of Strickland Funeral Home in Lavonia.
