The Hart County Charter System is excited to announce Britney Morrison is the 2023-2024 System Teacher of the Year. The announcement was made at the district’s convocation July 26, which gathers employees across the district prior to the beginning of the school year.

Community baptism event taking place Saturday

Beaverdam Creek bridge opening delayed

The replacement bridge which has been under construction on SR 8 over Beaverdam Creek has been delayed due to the impacts of weather and supply chain issues. The new completion date is expected to be August 31, 2023, according to Elizabeth C.
Breaking ground for the new Fire Station Project are Mayor Brandon Johnson, City Manager Jon Herschell, Fire Chief Alan Daniels, Kevin Price, President of Kevin Price Construction, Retired Fire Chief Terry Vickery, team members of Price Construction and Precision Planning Inc., and Fire Department personnel.

Hart County Middle School Anglers Kale Temple and Luke Schnell competed in and won the Bassmaster Junior National Championship on Lake Hartwell, July 21-22. Kale Temple and Schnell got off to a slow start on Friday morning. But once 10 a.m. came around, the fish were being brought in.
