Royston, Lavonia residents arrested in SCHS shooting

By Michael O'Hearn  The Toccoa Record Four individuals have been arrested following a firearm incident on Feb. 10 at Stephens County High School. While two sporting events were ongoing at the school, students reported a firearm had been discharged multiple times in the parking lot.

Polar Plunge to celebrate 30 years March 7

HCCT to hold 'Footloose' auditions

Submitted by Elizabeth Murphy  Hart County Community Theatre    Hart County Community Theatre will hold auditions for "Footloose: The Musical" Sunday, March 1 and Monday, March 2 from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. each night.

Creating ongoing discussions

Following a joint called meeting Feb. 5, the Hartwell City Council and Hart County Board of Commissioners are set to continue discussing items related to traffic, a potential transportation special purpose local option sales tax and housing issues during a pair of called meetings.
