SkillsUSA takes home state titles

The Hart County High School SkillsUSA team brought home two state championships and four medals in total from the State Conference over the weekend. The State Leadership and Skills Conference was in-person this year and featured 147 schools competing with 2,198 registered attendees.

Imagination Library holds annual Low Country Boil

A collection of volunteers in Hartwell chipped in to raise money for the Hart County Imagination Library on Feb. 25 by hosting the annual Low Country Boil at the agriscience center.

Polar Bear Plungers benefit Northeast Georgia Council on Domestic Violence

Brave souls lined up to jump into a frigid Lake Hartwell to raise money for the Northeast Georgia Council on Domestic Violence on Saturday, Feb. 26. Participants were encouraged to dress up for a costume contest as they took the annual Polar Bear Plunge.
