Cars & Guitars, Lake Hartwell Music Festival to return May 28

Hartwell will kick off the summer with two large-scale events held Memorial Day weekend.
On Saturday, May 28, the town will host both the Cars & Guitars Festival and the Lake Hartwell Music Festival.
Cars & Guitars will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Newest restaurants detail opening plans

Three restaurants will be opening their doors in Hartwell in the next few months.
WillaDean’s Tavern, a southern-style kitchen on Reed Creek Highway, has already served customers in “soft openings” over the past few weekends with a shorter menu.

Man charged in double homicide denied bail
