The Hart County Humane Society will be hosting the annual Pontoon Poker Run on Saturday, Aug. 13, at the Big Water Marina to help raise support for rescued dogs.
The Humane Society works passionately every day to end the euthanizing of adoptable shelter animals.

Guidestones go to Elberton Granite Association

The remnants of the Georgia Guidestones will have a new home as they were donated to the Elberton Granite Association (EGA) Museum after a vote from the Elbert County Board of Commissioners during Monday night’s meeting.
The vote came after hesitancy from the board as they lagged to make a motion.
