Art Center to hold summer market through May 24

The Hartwell Art Center, located at 338 E. Howell St., is holding the Memorial Day weekend Summer Artisan Market from May 20-24. From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 20 and 21, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on May 22 and 23 and noon to 4 p.m. on May 24, the center invites the public to shop.

County looking to combat drug substitutes

The Hart County Board of Commissioners is working to combat the consequences of usage of marijuana and opiate substitutes by creating an ordinance to prohibit the sale of said substitutes.A second reading for the updates was held during the board's May 12 meeting after being introduced April 28.
