The Haven Zoo founder and anthropologist JohnieSue Thurman knows what it's like to witness a dog go from timid to agile, a lesson that her four-year-old poodle Kalo, who was rescued from the Hart County Animal Rescue, taught her over the years.

The Hart County Sheriff's Office was led on a trio of vehicle chases within the span of two days that resulted in three arrests and one set of pending charges.
