'The Diary of Anne Frank' opens Friday

By Madison Linton Lead news reporter The opening performance of Hart County Community Theatre’s production of “The Diary of Anne Frank,” which will run from Feb. 27 to March 15, is tomorrow.  The Hartwell Sun spoke to director Lani Sessoms about how this play came to be.

Royston, Lavonia residents arrested in SCHS shooting

By Michael O'Hearn  The Toccoa Record Four individuals have been arrested following a firearm incident on Feb. 10 at Stephens County High School. While two sporting events were ongoing at the school, students reported a firearm had been discharged multiple times in the parking lot.

Polar Plunge to celebrate 30 years March 7

Sold out chamber banquet Friday

The Hart County Chamber of Commerce’s 76th annual chamber awards gala will be attended by a sold out crowd Friday night.  President and CEO Amanda Brown announced the event was sold out as of Feb. 13. For those with tickets, the event is scheduled to run from 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

HCCT to hold 'Footloose' auditions
