Crossroads to provide free Saturday lunches

Submitted by Susan Welborn, Crossroads Baptist ChurchCrossroads Baptist Church is giving away free bagged lunches every Saturday in June and July to anyone in the community in need.The bags will be available for pickup from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Saturday.

Hart Partners' Bookmobile on the road again

Submitted by Blondie Willingham, Hart PartnersHart Partners' Summer Bookmobile is celebrating its 25th anniversary and is already on the road stocked with free books to give to area children.The bus will be out in the community on Wednesdays and Thursdays through July 23.

Graduating with pride

Over 240 students are now alumni of Hart County High School following the Hart County Charter System’s annual graduation ceremony May 29. Graduates heard from class officers, the Top 3 student speakers as well Superintendent Jennifer Carter and Principal Kevin Gaines during the event.

School system to approve budget June 15

County road system gets 'F'

Hart County's roads would not be able to pass the class, if graded on its overall paving condition index (PCI) score.Public Works Director Jason Spencer, who assumed the position earlier this year, just completed a study of all 522 paved miles of the county's 569.
