Looking to curb growing pains

The Hart County Board of Commissioners heard mixed suggestions from a crowd of property owners and developers/builders during a work session to further discuss amendments to their land development standards ordinance Tuesday night.

Humane Society urging spaying/neutering as kitten season approaches

The Hart County Humane Society (HCHS) urges pet owners to spay/neuter their pets as kitten season rapidly approaches. Kitten season, spanning from late March to October, marks the period when cats naturally give birth, resulting in a dramatic increase in kittens needing rescue and shelter care.

From the Holy Land to Hartwell: Artists to be at Art Center this weekend

Artists from the Holy Land will be at the Hartwell Art Center Saturday, March 22 and Sunday, March 23 to showcase and sell items from Bethlehem. The Nissan Brothers, a family company since the 1940s, own one of the largest tourism facilities in Bethlehem, according to its website.

HCHS FFA to host spring plant sale March 28

Hart County High School (HCHS) horticulture students are excited to announce the annual HCHS FFA Spring Plant Sale, happening Thursday, March 28, from 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the HCHS greenhouse, located next to the Board of Education office at 284 Campbell Drive.
