Pollen puts on a lake show

Photos by Bill Powell A brief bout of rain on Sunday washed pollen into Lake Hartwell, putting on a show of yellow swirls and streams that photographer Bill Powell said he’d never witnessed before.

Doris Mahannah is Loving Life at 108

On Feb. 25, Kristi Zemaitis, missions coordinator at Hartwell First Methodist Church, took children from God’s Gifts Weekday Preschool on their monthly trip to Brookdale. During these visits, the children have the opportunity to share hugs, make new friends and read to the seniors of Brookdale.

Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 25 holds boating safety course

Submitted by Bill Fogerty   Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 25 of Lake Hartwell held its first Boat America class at the lower lever of Adult learning Center early in March.  The class had very good attendance with audience members ranging from teens to grandparents.

The annual Buddenbaum STEAM Showcase, displaying student projects from every school in the district, is set for 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 3, at the Hart County High School Gymnasium.

HCMS TSA headed to nationals
