The Hartwell Service League will celebrate 50 years of service to Hart County at a ceremony May 4. The original charter members of the HSL printed in the June 20, 1974 edition of The Hartwell Sun.

Senior Trez Fouch placed second in the discus throw and sixth in shot put at White County and then placed first in the discus throw and fifth in shot put at Franklin County.
