Retired educator Sue Ackerman is loving life following a battle with cancer over 10 years ago. Her faith helped give her the courage to pursue a nonconventional route of cancer treatment. Through the experience, she has educated herself on the body and works to educate other people on healthy heating and living.
The “Weekend of Hart,” created by a group of local nonprofits, will feature a 9/11 Memorial Motorcade progressive meal, a 5K run and a golf tournament to raise funds for local organizations. (Stock photo)
