Dogs look to rebound from loss

Hart County looks to rebound against Hebron Christian, after being held scoreless in their first region loss to Stephens County. When you talk about historic match ups in Hart County history, this is not one that will be brought up.

Dogs shutout by Indians in first region loss

Offensive woes lead to the 35-0 shutout loss against Stephens County. The Dogs hosted the Indians of Stephens County for a battle of the unbeatens in region play. Stephens County won the toss and elected to defer to the second half. Hart County started things off on offense.

I cannot believe it has already been a full year since I took over as the sports writer for The Hartwell Sun. But it almost didn’t happen. A little over a year ago, me and The Hartwell Sun’s Dawson Baker worked together during that time for another business in Hartwell.

Cross Country teams advance to state

The Hart County High School boys and girls cross country teams competed in the Region 8-AAA meet in Bogart Oct. 21. The boys placed third in the region while the girls placed fourth, as both teams secured spots in the State Championship meet.

Volley Dogs Elite Eight Bound

After back-to-back sweeps over Cedar Grove in the first round and LaFayette in the sweet sixteen, the Volley Dogs advance to the Elite Eight for the second time in school history to take on Columbus High School.

Find Help Georgia Celebrates First Year of Connecting Georgians With Resources

ATLANTA — Just one year after its launch, Find Help Georgia has connected 25,679 people from across the state with financial assistance, food pantries, medical care, child care, job training and other free or reduced-cost services through its website and mobile app.

Halloween party shooting sends three to the hospital

The Hart County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) is actively investigating a shooting that took place in the early morning hours of Oct. 22. At 1:24 a.m., deputies responded to a Halloween party at 1954 Nancy Hart School Road following reports of gunshots.
