Thirteen months following the groundbreaking of the City of Hartwell’s new fire station, city manager Jon Herschell reported earlier this week that the new structure is now “fully operational.

Terri Partain to be IBA Director

At their meeting Aug. 27, the BOC unanimously approved the Industrial Building Authority’s recommendation for their new director of economic development: Terri Partain. Partain will take the place of IBA Director of Economic Development Dwayne Dye upon his retirement later this year.

The Lady Dogs softball team snaps a two game losing streak, as they avenge their loss to Elbert County in Elberton. On Aug. 15, Hart traveled to Banks County to take on the Lady Leopards after being shut out 10-0 in a run-rule just a few prior.
