Terri Partain to be IBA Director

At their meeting Aug. 27, the BOC unanimously approved the Industrial Building Authority’s recommendation for their new director of economic development: Terri Partain. Partain will take the place of IBA Director of Economic Development Dwayne Dye upon his retirement later this year.

Lady Dogs snap two game skid with win at Elbert

The Lady Dogs softball team snaps a two game losing streak, as they avenge their loss to Elbert County in Elberton. On Aug. 15, Hart traveled to Banks County to take on the Lady Leopards after being shut out 10-0 in a run-rule just a few prior.

What happened to the passion? The response

Well, I will officially admit, I’ve been proven wrong. But there’s still a challenge that remains. I have tried to lay low after putting my column out called, “What happened to the passion? My challenge for Hart County.” But everywhere I turned, someone had something to say about it.

HORNS DOWN

The Bulldogs converted three of their four forced turnovers into 17 points in Hart County’s first win in the Granite Bowl since 2014, 17-7. Hart made the 18-mile trip down Elberton Highway to take on their rival, Elbert County, in the Granite Bowl on Aug. 16.
