Diamond Dogs season ends in Sweet Sixteen

By Benjamin London Staff writer   The Diamond Dogs season ended after back-to-back losses in the Sweet Sixteen to Appling County.   On May 1, Hart traveled to Baxley to take on the Pirates of Appling County in the Sweet Sixteen of the GHSA state playoffs for baseball.

Spring football progress report

By Benjamin London Staff writer   Spring is in the air and we have some news to share — football is back. On May 1, spring football practice began at Herndon Stadium as the Dogs get ready for the annual spring game against Habersham Central on May 16 as well as the 2025 campaign.

47th Annual Hartwell Dam Run

On May 3, 530 runners competed in the 47th Annual Hartwell Dam Run. In the 5K, 382 runners competed in the event. Easley native, Eddie Posey, who was the Overall Male with a time of 16:47. Seneca native, Katie Melton, who was the Overall Female with a time of 24:17.
