On March 1, the Dogs traveled down to Cross Creek, and the back-to-back state champions in AAA were looking to continue their run at another title.

The Hart County Soccer Dogs continue their hot streak versus Jasper and Crescent.
Hart traveled to Jasper County on Feb. 23 to take on the Hurricanes at home. The Lady Dogs got off to a quick 3-1 lead, but couldn’t maintain it as it ended in a 3-3 draw.

Racket Dogs fall to Oconee at home

The Hart County Racket Dogs hosted the defending region champions on Tuesday but fell to the Oconee County Warriors in both matches – girls 0-5 and boys 0-5.
“All I can say is that we gave it a good try,” said Racket Dogs head coach Cheryl Tierney. “Oconee County is always tough.

Slow-pitch softball starts the season 2-0

The Hart County slow-pitch softball team started the season off with a bang, sweeping Gainesville in their season opener.
Lady Dogs head coach Katie Jo Gentry said it is always hard for softball players to make the transition from fastpitch to slow pitch in just a matter of months.

The Diamond Dogs are still in the rough after losses to both McIntosh on Feb. 24 and Banks County at home on Tuesday.
Hart hosted McIntosh for a double-header. The Chiefs beat the Diamond Dogs just a few days ago in Peachtree City, 13-0.

The Hart County boys basketball team knocked off two Top 15 teams on the road to advance to the Elite Eight.
Hart traveled up to Gilmer on Feb. 22 to take on the Bobcats in the first round of the state tournament. The Dogs came out swinging, taking a 30-15 lead at the end of the first quarter.

Six Lady Dogs earn All-Region honors for basketball

One senior, three juniors, one sophomore, and one freshman make up the six Lady Dogs who were honored by the coaches in Region 8-AAA.
Junior guards Dakota Phillips and Alexis Walker were the lone Lady Dogs to make first team all region within the region.

Things were looking promising for the boys’ team until it got dark.

The Diamond Dogs continue to struggle, dropping both games to Elbert at home Feb. 15 and on the road at McIntosh on Tuesday.
Hart hosted the Blue Devils of Elbert County for the first home game of the season at Saye Field.

The Hart County boys basketball team lost to Stephens County Feb. 15, but was able to overcome Hebron on Friday, earning the Dogs the No. 3 seed in the state tournament.
The Dogs took on Stephens County to determine who would advance to the region championship.
