The soccer Dogs 2023 season begins Jan. 27, as they travel to Cedar Shoals to take on the Jaguars.
The boys team had one of their best seasons in 2022, finishing 12-5-2 overall and made it into the state playoffs as a four seed. It was only the second time in the program’s history.

Dogs basketball teams pick up fourth region win

The Hart County High School basketball teams swept the Warriors of Oconee County at home Jan. 20. Both teams also won on the road against Franklin County Tuesday.
Lady Dogs head coach Mike Edwards has mentioned in the past that there are three tiers in the girls side of Region 8-AAA this year.

Moore has now been named All-State twice, once by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution and now by the Georgia High School Football Daily. Moore spoke on what it meant to him to receive the honors.

Owner of the Hartwell Speedway announced via Facebook that after 16 years, it was time for him to move on and close the speedway.

Two Lady Dogs invited to Sandy Spiel Spring Showcase

Two Hart County Lady Dogs got invited to the Sandy’s Spiel Spring Showcase at Chestatee High School on March 19, 2023.
The first Lady Dog to receive the invite was junior guard Dakota Phillips and she was beyond excited and honored.

Mat Dogs eliminated at sectionals

The Hart County Mat Dogs traveled down to Long County on Saturday, Jan. 14 for Sectionals and were eliminated after placing second.
The Mat Dogs first matchup was against Hephzibah. The winner would take on the winner of Lafayette and Long County to potentially make State Duals.
