Normally at the end of the year, most people reflect on the best moments of the year. For sports, this is the end of a year as it began back in the fall of 2023 and wrapped up last week. We will take a trip down memory lane to look back at our Top 10 sports moments of the year.   No.

I will be the first to admit, I had a completely different column written out for this week, as I had planned on writing about the Class of 2024 as a whole and how they will be one of the most talented athletic classes to ever walk the halls of Hart County High School.

For the first time in program history, boys soccer’s senior midfielder Luis Genchi wins Region 8-AAA Player of the Year. At the 2024 soccer banquet on May 16, Soccer Dogs head coach Ben Hudson announced the All-Region team and then proceeded to let everyone exit the stage except Genchi.

Dogs and Raiders end Spring Game in a tie

After turning the ball over three times in the first half, the second half comeback ended the 2024 Spring Game in a tie against the Raiders of Habersham Central. On May 17, the Dogs made the trip up the mountain to Mt. Airy, Ga. to take on the Raiders of Habersham in the 2024 Spring Game.
