Coming off of two straight losses in games that went down to the wire, the Hart County High School football team (5-2, 1-2) is looking to get back on track this Friday when the Bulldogs face East Jackson (3-4, 0-3) on Senior Night in Herndon Stadium.

Cross country ready for region meet

A battle for the best runners in the region will take place this morning, Oct. 24, as the Hart County High School cross country team travels to Franklin County for the Region 8-AAA meet. “I think we’re about as ready as we can get,” Hart County head coach Cecil Marett said.

Dogs fall to Jefferson

On a crucial third down in the fourth quarter when Hart County needed the ball back most, defensive end Kaimon Rucker blew past Jefferson’s left tackle around the edge and hit the quarterback for a clutch, electrifying sack that brought Herndon Stadium back to life.

The Hart County High School Volleydogs secured a spot in the state playoffs last Thursday as they soared past the East Jackson Eagles 3-1 at home.

The Hart County High School football team (5-1, 1-1) will venture into the Purple Pit on Friday as they take on Monroe Area for another Region 8-AAA contest. “Monroe Area has a good football team. They always do,” head football coach Rance Gillespie said after Friday night’s loss to Jefferson.

Bulldogs prep for big-time region test

A crucial region showdown is set for Friday night in Hartwell as Jefferson travels into Bulldog country to take on the Hart County High School football team  (5-0, 1-0) for just the sixth meeting in the schools’ histories.

Hart County High School head football coach Rance Gillespie said he wanted his team to start fast last Friday night, and they certainly did that.

Hart county baller will play in Austria

A Hart County sophomore basketball player is going international. Sean Teasley was recently selected by Student Athlete World to represent the USA on an international sports tour next summer in Austria.

Bullpup runnerswin 7th-straight region title

For the seventh year in a row, the Hart County Middle School boys’ cross country team claimed a region title after placing four runners in the top-15 at the region meet in Madison County.
