Bulldogs hit field for practice ahead of spring game

The sound of pads clacking and crunching could once again be heard in Herndon Stadium on Monday as the Hart County High School football team got back to work with its first day of spring practice.

Lady Golf Dogs notch 5th place finish at state

A long season of top finishes for the Hart County High School girls’ golf team ends with a fifth-place finish in the state. The Hart County girls’ golf team notched fifth place at the Class AAA state championship tournament on Tuesday, May 18 at Apple Mountain Golf Club in Clarkesville.

Scott making noise for UGA golf

Hartwell native golfer Eli Scott has been tearing through collegiate competition as of late, aiding the Georgia Bulldogs in their quest for NCAA glory.

HISTORIC FINISH: Track Dogs land 3rd at state

The highest team finish in Hart County High School track and field history was recorded last week when the Bulldogs captured third place at the state track meet in Albany, bringing home an individual state champion along the way. Senior A.J.

Track Dogs qualify for state

The Hart County High School track and field teams qualified numerous athletes for the state tournament over the weekend. Hart County’s track squads travelled to East Jackson on May 8 for the sectional tournament, which included teams from Regions 1, 3, 4 and 8.

Diamond Dogs’ season ends in Sweet 16

A winning season has come to an end in the Sweet 16 for the Hart County High School Diamond Dogs. The Bulldogs battled it out with North Hall in a three-game series that ended with a 12-8 loss on Thursday, May 6 to bring an end to Hart County’s 23-10 (10-5) season.

Kickball tourney registration open

An organization started by a former Hart County High School Lady Dog basketball player is hosting a kickball tournament later this month and registration is still open.

Multiple Twisters claim state championships

A local gymnastics team brought home several state champions over the weekend. The Hartwell Twisters saw several of its athletes earn the title of state champions over the weekend at the state competition in Roswell. “They did phenomenal,” head coach Shellye Ayers said about the team.

Diamond Dogs sweep Redan to earn Sweet 16 berth
