Aeryn Back took her first gymnastics class at the Hartwell Bell Family YMCA in the summer of 2019. She immediately fell in love with the sport and worked hard to get a spot on the competitive team this season. Aeryn’s favorite event is floor because you can show your personality.

Hart County High School senior football player Cobi Jones signed to compete at the next level on Tuesday, May 25. Jones signed with Presbyterian College, a Division I FCS program located in Clinton, South Carolina.

Local jiu jitsu fighters raise money to ‘tap out’ cancer

Chuck Cawthon’s Contemporary Martial Arts (CMA) in Hartwell had five competitors represent at the Tap Cancer Out Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament on Saturday, May 22 at the Phoenix Training Center in Atlanta. Five competitors for CMA  raised more than $1,000 collectively.

Hart County High School football fans got their first glimpse of the 2021 squad on Saturday, May 29 as the Bulldogs battled it out against one another in an inner-squad scrimmage at Herndon Stadium.

Little League all-star rosters released ahead of first District 7 tourney

Little League All-Star tournaments are back in action this year after the pandemic cancelled activities last year. Team rosters were released last week for Hart County’s all-star teams as they prepare for their District 7 tournaments and vie for a chance at the state tournament.
