Lady Diamond Dogs 0-2 after first week of road region schedule stretch

The Lady Diamond Dogs have had a tough start to region play, losing their first two games. The Hart County High School softball team traveled to Hebron Christian on Thursday, Sept. 1. The Dogs found themselves behind 4-0 at the start of the fourth inning.

Hart Volleydogs split home games

The Volleydogs split matches in their first home performance in more than two weeks. The Hart County High School volleyball team hosted both Jefferson and Crescent at home on Sept. 1. The Volleydogs lost to the Jefferson Dragons in an extremely close match, 2-1.

At long last, after more than 40 years, the University of Georgia has won a national championship. While I have only been a die-hard fan for the past decade, for the first time, “maybe next year” wasn’t uttered this offseason.

Davis looking to make the most of senior season

In his final season as a Hart County Bulldog, senior Paul Davis has stepped up to be not just the future college football star, but a leader among his teammates. “Being a leader on the field, everything is controlled by me and all the leaders on the team,” Davis said.

The Hart County High School football team will be taking on the Apalachee Wildcats for the first home game of the year. Apalachee High School is currently 0-2, but is in the 6A classification.

CMA MMA fighter wins by submission at The Showcase MMA in Greenville

HCHS graduate, and pro fighter from Chuck Cawthon’s Contemporary Martial Arts, Brandon Webb tapped out his opponent, Dallas Manspile, in the second round via mounted guillotine. The Showcase MMA event was held outdoors at the Thomas Creek Brewery in Greenville, S.C. on Saturday, August 27.

Volleydogs go 2-1 in Athens matches

The Volleydogs played several matches in Athens to  continue to improve their game. In Thursday, Aug. 25, the Hart County High School Volleyball team traveled to Prince Avenue Christian and played the Wolverines in a best of five match.

Lady Diamond Dogs to begin region play on winning streak

The Lady Diamond Dogs extended their winning record to 6-1 in the final non-region game of the season. The Hart County High School softball team faced off against Rabun County on Thursday, Aug. 25 at home. The Lady Diamond Dogs ended the game early in the bottom on the sixth, 10-2.
